Hi there, Amandaconda here!

I'm a Maine based artist with a long history of thread and needle work. My mother taught me cross stitch as a child, I experimented with knots and beadwork in college and continue to explore the history of embroidery and techniques. I started chainstitching by hand in 2016, and finally aquired a beautiful antique Singer chainstitch machine in 2020! Machine chainstitching utilizes each appendage, while exercising consistent speed and technique you are also listening to and maintaining care for the machine. The manually operated machine speeds up stitching, each patch maintains the quality of 'unique' that gets lost in digitized stitching. Let's stitch up some wicked shit!

Bright blue beaded accent fabric and white flowers are appliqued from the top left corner down the left side of the patch, and extend across the bottom.

The patch stretches across the shoulders of the jacket, with the third point of the triangle landing just below the wearer's rib cage.
